There became stipulations for people who receive benefits; they must work a mandatory of 20 hours after two years of assistance. Welfare Reform provided more funding for child care in the effort to get mothers back to work. Families, who have exceeded the five year limit or less depending on state laws, will no longer receive cash assistance. States are given â€Å"block grants† in order to provide welfare benefits to the recipients. Welfare Reform also causes states to maintain their spending on Welfare. States can receive bonuses from the Federal Government for the performance of moving Welfare recipients to work and getting them off the system. (PRWORA, n.d.) The main goal of Welfare Reform is to reduce dependency. Since Welfare Reform, TANF caseloads have dropped by nearly 50 percent. It was a revolution that shook the world and lead to rearrangements of the global alliances. For the one year just prior to joining the Institute Of Business Administration Debating Club (IBA-JUEDC), I was the marketing and public affairs leader for the organization. Then I realize I may initiate one environment debating club. MD. SAIDUR RAHMAN: What can you tell me IBA-JUEDC and its history? What is the mission of the IBA-JUEDC? MR. SIMANTA: IBA-JUEDC is a non-profit Debate association that was founded in 2008 with a goal of promoting the development of our debate skills in IBA-JU. Especially our English debate skills. We did not have any written constitution. Any rules are made by president should be passed by vote of the members. But we are working to make a constitution as soon as possible. Currently, we have more than 38 members, and our membership is comprised of Muslim, Hindu, Christian, Budhist etc people. We have executive board of 10 members. I was general member before. By the voting of general member I achieved my post. Most of the members are from the last batch 41. Every year we kick out the non active member and recruit new members. However, one thing remains constant. The highest numbers of members are always from the last batch. Again, there is little discrimination. The most of the executive members are from senior batch. Now our president is from 39 Batch. Generally, we did not prefer to give post or include in our EC members from junior. But they are the most active people. But I am the exception. Sorry. SAIDUR RAHMAN: In January 2011 your organization challenged the national teams around Bangladesh and you won at the final, how you feel about that? MR. SIMANTA: The IBA-JUEDC and its members do believe that University of Jahangirnagar study in debating was based on olots of effective data and contemporary models and that significantly improves our performance. When we were in the Final Round on the debate we found that at least 50% topic was common to us in this tournament. President generally select our practice debate topic. And It was so helpful when we went for the real life tournament. This determination was based on a methodology that included an analysis of the current president, and provides further anything we need provide significantly greater effectiveness. In addition, many of our member have conducted comprehensive research provided new information which is compilled upwards of 60% by president. Therefore, I believe in our club president must play important role.. This is the second part of my three-part interview with Mr. Simanta, executive program director of the IBA-JUEDC. Md. Saidur Rahman: What are some of the details regarding the â€Å"improvements in debating technology and processes across the real life†? Mr. Simanta: Because many of our members are developing proprietary technology and we represent a diverse cross-section of the debating industry, I can’t speak to specific technological advances being made by individuals. That said, when you look at the processes involved in the debating are three main components: strain selection, cultivation systems, and extraction. In each of those phases, the industry has seen exciting improvements in the technology and processes are being developed for the production of gooddebaters and that can be grown in non-profitable organization; improvements in and development of second-generation debate improvements systems; increased efficiencies in the extraction of debaters from IBA-JU students; and significant advances on co-location of debaters production facilities alongside major debaters like DUDS. These technologies are mainly green technology. Suppose we try to avoid using paper and made the other members to avoid using papers. This also encourages people outside the organization. MD. SAIDUR RAHMAN: You testified before us on the benefits of Debaters. For our readers who might have missed that testimony, what are some of those benefits? MR. SIMANTA: Our IBA-JUEDC database holds tremendous potential to play a key role in the development of a new debater – one driven by economically sustainable system from IBA-JU lab and power generation. This lab and database of around the world information benefits a sustainable good performer. * IBA-JU dc computer lab is totally free. You will get generally over 200 kb/s per second * We already have strong database about previous debaters * We have video clips of our prominent debaters. * It totally environment friendly. MD. SAIDUR RAHMAN: In November of 2009 one of you said that your debate industry welcomed language both Bengal and English. You will soon working on your legislation. Where is this now? There is some environment clauses. Can you give us an update on this? MR. SIMANTA: The IBA-JUEDC continues to work to engage with policymakers and legislators in IBA-JU. nd educate them on the exciting promise of IBA-JUEDC policy solutions and to advocate for policies that will help advance the industry. While it is currently uncertain the future of the specific bills you mention, the IBA-JUEDC continues to support a number of other pieces of legislation currently under consideration by Jahangirnagar University that would provide the financial and regulatory parity, as well as parity within the framework of the Debating Standard. Because IBA-JUEDC don’t currently receive the same incentives and other financial benefits currently accorded to other organization. But the environment topics are supported unanimously. This is part III of my three-part Q amp; A with Mr. Simanta, executive program director of the (IBA-JUEDC). Md. Saidur Rahman:   In February 2010 the Debating Committee of the Jahangirnagar University discussed and confirmed the positive potential of your debaters in terms of getting various prizes. At that time your organization said the main progress in this regard is linked to prior and ongoing technology developments. What more can be done in terms of financial decision for IBA-JUEDC involved more productive and more profitable? Mr. Simanta:   We believe that the science and the processes for the financial data production of accounting software is extremely promising and that further technological advances in the production process will only continue. Many of our members have already demonstrated their technologies in the lab(Such as tally) and at the demonstration/pilot plant scale, but the challenge is to now bring those technologies to commercial scale. To do so requires continued support from the Jahangirnagar University authority through financial and regulatory incentives (see Part II) that will help create the conditions for growth in our debating club. Without those policies in place, it will be exceedingly difficult to attract the new promising debaters. We are publishing a financial report every year. But its little bit confidential. You have to be our member to see this report. We finance most to environment developing issues. MD. SAIDUR RAHMAN: Where, on a scale of 1-10, would you rank ur organization? Why? MR. SIMANTA: It’s difficult to make that sort of apples-and-oranges comparison. The IBA-JUEDC believes that it is going to take a comprehensive national debating club. That said, the IBA-JUEDC believes that our debaters can play a critical role in our nation’s debating society several key attributes that make them an exciting component of our nation’s debating future. Our debaters are available in any debating program that can help provide Bangladesh with a next generation of potential debaters while also beneficially to reduce our nation’s logic scarcity and enhance our empowerment security. MD. SAIDUR RAHMAN: What do you see as the future of environment debaters? MR. SIMANTA: I see a great future because of their ability to beneficially producing sustainable debaters can fundamentally alter our nation’s politics someday. I see a future where major Politician will be from IBA-JUEDC. I see a future where debaters are also used not only for debates, but for politics in Bangladesh. I see a future where the debaters and its many stakeholders have created hundreds of thousands of jobs, helped reduce our country’s unemployment, and reduced the amount of jobless person. We must contact debaters from overseas. I see the possibility of a truly great Bangladesh and truly potential students. I hope someday our forest and environment minister will be from IBA-JUEDC. MD. SAIDUR RAHMAN: What are some goals your organization has for this industry that you would like to see achieved in the not-too-distant future? MR. Wireless Technology Wireless Technology applied to Computer Processing I. Abstract Wireless technology can provide many benefits to computing including faster response to queries, reduced time spent on paperwork, increased online time for users, just-in-time and real time control, tighter communications between clients and hosts. Wireless Computing is governed by two general forces: Technology, which provides a set of basic building blocks and User Applications, which determine a set of operations that must be carried out efficiently on demand. This paper summarizes technological changes that are underway and describes their impact on wireless computing development and implementation. It also describes the applications that influence the development and implementation of wireless computing and shows what current systems offer. II. Introduction Wireless computing is the topic of much conversation today. The concept has been around for some time now but has been mainly utilizing communication protocols that exist for voice-based communication. It is not intended to replace wired data communication but instead to be utilized in areas that it would be otherwise impossible to communicate using wires. Only recently has the industry been taking steps to formulate a standard that is more suitable to data transmission. Some the problems to be overcome are: a. Data Integrity - relatively error free transmission, b. Speed - as close as possible to the speed of current wired networks, c. Protection - making sure that the data now airborne is encoded and cannot be tapped by unwelcome receivers, d. Compatibility - ensuring that the many protocols that sure to be created subscribe to a standard to allow inter-operability, e. Environmentally safe - strengths of electromagnetic radiation must be kept within normal levels. In our study of the theories and implementation concerns of wireless computing, we found that it is being treated in an object-oriented fashion. Scientists and development crews, including the IEEE, are doing their best to implement wireless connectivity without changing the existing computer hardware. As a result, a lot of focus is on using existing computer hardware and software to convert data to a format compatible with the new hardware, which will be added to the computer using ports, or PCMCIA connections that already exist. This means that wireless communication will be transparent to the user if and when wireless computing is utilized on a wide scale. Wireless computing applications covers three broad areas of computing today. Replacement of normal wired LAN's need to retain the speed and reliability found in wired LAN's. Creation of semi permanent LAN's for quick and easy setup without the need for running wires. This would be necessary for events such as earthquakes. The last category is that of mobile computing. With advent of PCMCIA cards, notebook computers are being substituted for regular desktop machines with complete connectivity of the desktop machine. However, you lose the connectivity when out of the office unless you have a wireless means of communicating. On the compatibility issue, the ability to mix wireless brands on a single network is not likely to come soon. The IEEE Standards Committee is working on a wireless LAN standard -- 802.11, which is an extension of the Ethernet protocol. Because the field of wireless communication is so broad, the IEEE was not able to set a standard by the time private researchers we re ready to test their theories hoping to set the standard for others to follow. II. Methods There are a few methods of wireless communication being theorized and tested. Radio: This is the method that makes use of standard radio waves in the 902 MHz to 928 MHz frequency range. Although these frequencies are well used, methods have been developed to ensure data integrity. Spread spectrum transmission of data is a method where the transmitter will send information simultaneously out over many frequencies in the range increasing the change that all data will eventually reach the receiver. Frequency hopping is an additional measure that also enables data security. The 26 MHz ranges of frequencies is further divided in to channels. The transmitter then sends out data hopping from one channel to the next in a certain pattern known to the receiver. Within each channel, spread spectrum transmission can be used to maintain interference avoidance. Some of this transmission manipulation can be avoided by transmitting at a frequency that is less used.

Patriots believed that the British were conspiring to take away their tradional freedoms, so they sought to protect their liberties such as, property, the right to bring their legal cases before independent judges, the right to call their own assemblies, and the right to engage in trade without restrictions and to pay no taxes voted by a British Parliament in which they had no direct representation. Although the seed of democracy was planted early in the colonies through town meetings and assemblies which decided on local issues, it was not a complete democracy since only landowners could vote. Courtesy Titles and Honorifics Courtesy Titles and Honorifics Courtesy Titles and Honorifics By Mark Nichol There was a time when it was considered proper form to refer indirectly to people in writing with a courtesy title or an honorific a designation that identifies gender, profession, or title of nobility. That time, to the great relief of writers everywhere, has passed. Of course, in direct address in a salutation, or when otherwise referring to someone in writing (as in a transcription) it is and perhaps always will be proper to identify people with such markers: â€Å"Mr. Smith,† â€Å"Captain Jones,† â€Å"Doctor Williams,† â€Å"Reverend Taylor,† and so on. But with few exceptions, such terms are obsolete when referring to people in the third person. The custom was cumbersome, requiring writers to be sure they knew more about a person that was perhaps necessary (or relevant): Is Mr. Smith a mere â€Å"John Smith,† or is he â€Å"Colonel John Smith (ret.)†? And is a woman a â€Å"Mrs.,† a â€Å"Ms.,† or a â€Å"Miss† and why does it matter? Likewise, does Captain Jones hold that specific naval rank, or is she commander of a naval vessel or installation and therefore called â€Å"Captain† in recognition of her status as a commanding officer even though her actual rank is different, or is she the owner of a sailboat? Is Doctor Williams a medical doctor, or did he earn a doctorate? Is Reverend Taylor’s status as a member of the clergy relevant to that person’s mention in an article or a book? Though the New York Times persists in using courtesy titles (except in editorials and feature articles), this is a rare quirk bordering on obsolete affectation. Of course, courtesy titles are appropriate on first reference to a person: â€Å"The Reverend Robert Taylor† (or, in newspaper style, â€Å"Rev. Robert Taylor†) should be identified as such when introduced. (Alternatively, the introduction may be more relaxed: â€Å"Robert Taylor, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church.†) But the crux of this post is that on second reference that’s editor-speak for any reference beyond the first one no courtesy title or honorific is necessary, and it’s simpler to avoid using one. A few examples follow: â€Å"John Smith was present at the meeting, she said. . . . Smith [not â€Å"Mr. Smith†] spoke on the topic during the public-comment period.† â€Å"Captain Mary Jones took command of the ship in 2010. . . . Jones [not â€Å"Captain Jones†] is a twenty-five year navy veteran.† â€Å"She appealed to Doctor James Williams. . . . Williams [not â€Å"Doctor Williams†] responded encouragingly.† â€Å"The Reverend Robert Taylor officiated at the wedding. . . . Taylor [not â€Å"Reverend Taylor†] reminded the bride that he had baptized her.† In narrative nonfiction or in fiction, of course, a subject or character might be referred to habitually as â€Å"Captain Jones† because that is how people actually refer to her, as when the owner of a fishing trawler is widely known in a community perhaps few even know her first name or in the case of a naval officer always so addressed by crew members. The same exception applies to other courtesy titles, even â€Å"Mr.† and â€Å"Mrs.† or â€Å"Ms.,† which, unlike the others, are always abbreviated. The success of European integration and solving the "German problem" had led a lot of Europeans at the time, Kagan writes, to believe that they live in a Kantian paradise where international institutions could banish war forever. Strategic Personnel Considerations Human Resources Introduction This report critically analysis all the issues affecting the organisation to enter into an international market. Many companies like Proctor Gamble, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, MS, Tesco are moving towards the global market because revenue maximization. IHRM is an integral part of the Human resource management. Human Resource Management (HRM), is the process of policies and practices which involved in carrying out the people or human resource aspects of a management position which includes recruiting, screening, training, rewarding and appraising, (Dessler, 2008). When companies are operating their businesses out of the national boundaries than it is becomes the multinational enterprises. Multinational companies are the firms that are headquartered in one country but have operations in one or more other countries, (Rugman, et al., 2009, p.7). Some of the major multinational companies are Wal-Mart (US), BP (UK), Exxon Mobil (US), General Motors (US) or Toyota (Japan). The reasons for going in the international market are to create an economic integration and increase the market share and companies are using different international entry methods like mergers or acquisitions, joint-ventures, franchising to gain the competitive advantages in the international market. However, there are some challenges in the international market such as the cultural differences, diversity in the workplace or the pressures from the rules and regulations of the government and the trade unions. International HRM deals with all of these issues regarding the management of human capital in an international context. International HRM is the process of selecting, training and developing and compensating personnel in overseas positions, (Rugman, et al., 2009, p. 354). There are some challenging factors in the global work environment such as cultural diversity at the workplace and thats why the compensation practices may vary from one country to another and employment laws and regulations will be differ from one country to another as well. The strategic role of HRM in an international context will also be different than in the domestic firms. The strategic role of HRM is complex enough in a purely domestic firm, but is more complex in an international market, where profound differences between countries in labour market, culture, legal systems, economic systems and the complicate staffing, management and development, performance evaluation and compensation activities, (Hill, 2009, p.626) The main approaches to IHRM can be ethnocentric, polycentric or geocentric depending on the nature of the country and its cultural background. In an ethnocentric approach there is a belief that ones own way of doing things is superior to that of others and it can be a major challenge for the IHRM. Ethnocentrism can be a major challenge for international HRM and these challenges include recognising differences, combining the advantages from different styles and approaches, adjusting and adapting to succeed with different people in different partnerships in different markets, (Rugman, et al., p. 134). In an ethnocentric firm, the top management will dominate the employees working for the organisation. Ethnocentric firms are where top management is dominated by home-country nationals and procedures and management styles that are transferred from the head office and imposed on regional subsidiaries in place of local ways of doing things, (Rugman, et al., 2009, p.147). On the other hand, the polycentric firms are looking likes a semi-autonomous organisation where restriction will put in some of the departments and other departments may not be influenced by restricted rules. This act like a federation of semi-autonomous organisations with financial controls or strict reporting structures holding them together and subsidiaries are able to reflect the local cultural norms, and headquarters appreciates the need for different organisations designs, procedural norms, reward systems etc. as long as profits flow to the centre, (Collinson, et al., 2009, p. 147). Furthermore, the geocentric organisations are seen to be an ideal, collaborative and meritocratic form of global organisation for example, Unilever. It includes an equal sharing of power and responsibility between headquarters and subsidiary, senior management promoted according to the ability rather than nationality and subsidiaries that share worldwide objectives with managers focusing beyond national market interests, (Collinson, et al., 2009, p. 147). Furthermore, it is required to have a business strategy when operating in the international market. The role of IHRM is to fulfil the objective of the business level strategy and fulfil the corporate strategy. Corporate strategy is concerned with the overall purpose and scope of the business to meet stakeholder expectations. This is a crucial level since it is heavily influenced by investors in the business and acts to guide strategic decision-making throughout the business. Corporate strategy is often stated explicitly in a mission statement, (Johnson, et al., 2008) The objective of this report is to identify the different issues which are affecting in the international HRM and the ways of overcoming the challenges of IHRM. This report critically analysis and evaluates all the factors related to the IHRM in an international context. Main Body Previously people management was related to the managing people within the organisation but they never treated as resources. Human resource policies should be integrated with the strategic business planning because strategic HRM is emphasizing the integration of the HR policies with both one another with the business planning, (Keith Sisson, 1990). There is a strategic significance of the HRM in the international market. Strategic HRM thinks people as most important asset and it deals with the improvement of human resources. People are the most important asset and the people management is the responsibility of everyone and far too important to be left to personnel managers. It follows that HRM needs to be owned by line managers and by senior managers and by implication is too important to be left to personnel managers, (Guest, 1991). HR managers need to implement the policies strategically in order to manage their people and to gain the competitive advantages. International Training and Development: Training and development is an important aspect of IHRM. Training means the process of teaching new employees the basic skills they need to perform their jobs, (Dessler, 2008, p-294). The difference between the local training and development and the international training and development is to get more experiences from the international market. Many companies like IBM, Microsoft are sending their in different counties to get the international knowledge and experiences. Challenges of IHRM: The challenges of HRM include the standardisation and adaptation of work practices of different countries. HRM in the host country context standardisation and adaption of work practices such as IHRM are using some of the strategies of making the standardisation such as language training, cultural adaptation and competitive compensation. One of the major aspects of IHRM is the adaptability which is an individuals ability to adapt a cultural change. It is important for the HR managers to adapt along with the different cultures if they want to run their business in an international context. The degree of integration of policies within the local country such as the degree of integration of policies within the local country will depend on the self-reliance, age, experience and education and health and family status. HRM implications of language standardisation like there are some HRM implications of language standardisation of HRM by the local companies by language learning. Learning the local language can be helpful because it will help the managers to learn and understand the languages of the colleagues and help to increase the performance of the organisation. Integration between IHRM Strategy and Business Strategy: It is important to maintain the integration between the IHRM strategies with the business strategy. There are some strategies which will help to make an adjustment between the IHRM and the business strategy such as the transition strategies. Transition strategies are designed to help smooth movement from foreign to domestic assignments, (Rugman, et al., 2009, p. 358). Some of the other strategies which are affecting the IHRM are the following:- Repatriation agreement: This agreement will tell how long a person will stay in an overseas place. It is an agreement that spells out how long a person will be posted overseas and sets for the type of job that will be given to the person upon returning, (Rugman, et al., 2009, p. 358). Rent or maintain the expatriates home during the overseas tour: under this agreement the company can reduce the financial burden for the managers who went for a particular place over a tree-year to four-year plans. Both Union Carbide and the Aluminum Company of America have such arrangements which is used to reduce to financial burden, (Rugman, et al., p. 359). Assign a senior executive as a sponsor for every manager posted abroad: some of the companies put some senior executives when every manager went to visit in different places. This ensures that there is someone looking after each expatriate and ensuring that his or her performance, compensation and career path are on track. When the expatriate is schedule to return home, the sponsor begins working internally to ensure a suitable position, (Rugman, et al., 2009, p. 359). Many companies like IBM and Carbide use this form of the mentoring process. Maintaining the on-going communications with expatriate managers: this strategy will ensure and let the managers know what is happening in the home country. it will ensure that what is happening in the local office and if they are scheduled to be home on leave for any extended period of time, the company works them into projects at headquarters and in this way they can maintain their visibility at headquarters and increase the likelihood that are viewed as regular members of the management staff rather than the outsiders, (Rugman, et al., 2009, p. 359) The impact of IHRM effects on culture: Culture is a major aspect of International HRM where there are some challenges in the cultural diversity in the workplace. Corporate culture is the shared values, traditions, customs, philosophy and policies of a corporation also the professional atmosphere that grows from this and affects behaviour and performance, (Rugman, et al., p. 132). Managing the cross culture arises from the international market situation where the managers from the international patent company need to understand the local employees from the host country and it may require different organisations structure and HRM procedures. Because of globalisation there is an impact of cultural diversity in the work place. People from different countries are working together or they are moving from one place to another place more easily because of this globalisation. To manage this cultural diversity HR managers can use Hofstedes cultural dimension in the national cultures such as the following:- Power distance: The cultural differences can be understood by the cultural difference among the two countries. This refers to the extent to which people in a particular culture accept and expect that power in institutions and organisations is, and should be distributed unequally, (Edwards Rees, 2010). Uncertainty avoidance: Another important element of understanding the cultural differences is the uncertainty avoidance. This indicates the extent to which people in a culture feel nervous or threatened by uncertainty and ambiguity and hence create institutions and rules to try to avoid them, (Edward Rees, 2010) Individualism/collectivism: It will determine the nature of the culture in any particular country. In an individual culture people tend to look after their own interests and those of their immediate family, whereas in collectivist culture there is a tighter social framework in which each person respects the group to which he or she belongs, (Edward Rees, 2010) Masculinity/femininity: Depending on the masculinity or femininity structure the culture will be different. In a masculine culture the dominant values are said to be ambition, assertiveness, performance and the acquisition of money and material objects, where as in a so-called feminine culture values such as the quality of life, maintaining personal relationships and care for the weak and the environment are emphasized, (Edward Rees, 2010). Time orientation: Finally, the time orientation will determine the cultural influences in any country. originally termed as confusion dynamism and this is related to the time horizons that people in different cultures are oriented towards with some looking several years ahead in declining upon particular courses of action whilst others are more generated to the shorter term, (Edward Rees, 2010) It is important to understand the cultural diversity at the workplace and manage them accordingly and Hofstedes cultural dimension will help the HRM manager to make the decisions. The concept of an expatriate can help the international organization to expand their market operations in different countries and to gain the competitive advantages. An expatriate (in abbreviated form, expat) is a person temporarily or permanently residing in a country and culture other than that of the persons upbringing or legal residence, (Mercer, 1996). The role of an expatriate is to change the shape of the cultural influence by living on that particular place. Resourcing Strategy in IHRM: Resourcing strategy in IHRM deals with the all the issues related to the management of human resources. It considers the consequences of international cultures on employee performance and welfare and explores the consequences (such as diversity issues) of the various employee resourcing options, for example: hiring local staff vs. international appointments. It also examines training and development in an international environment and the complexities of multinational reward management practice, (www.koganpage.com, 2010). Understanding the resourcing strategy can help to gain the competitive advantages in the international market. Recruitment of Labour Market: One of the major challenges for the multinational companies is the varying demand of the organised demand of the labour around the world. Because of national differences the nature of economic, political and legal systems can create a variety of labour relations systems and strategy. In managing labour relations the most multinational companies use a combination of centralization and decentralization with some decision being made on headquarters and others being handled by the mangers on site, (Colinson, et al., 2009, p. 366). For example, US companies are exercising more centralized management control and close reporting system and UK and EU companies are more decentralized and less control on the reporting system and flexible management control. Understanding the labour market is an important aspect of the IHRM and companies need to consider the labour market relations with the companys goals and objectives. Labour relations practices vary widely in the international arena, for example, union-management relations and industry democracy approaches are different throughout the Europe and these dramatically differ from those in Japan, (Rugman, et al., 2009, p. 377) Labour market can support the international organisations by decreasing the labour costs because in some countries the labour costs are lower than the other countries and it will help to gain the competitive advantages as well. A strong relationship between the labour market and the international organisation will help to gain the competitive advantages in the global market. Legislation: Understanding the labour legislation in the international market is required to make an effective IHRM activities, in an international market such as labour laws, rules and regulations from the labour union imposed in any particular countries, compensation and payment activities based on the international laws and regulation etc. According the porters generic strategies the IHM can make the profit either by cost leadership or a differentiation strategy. Cultural awareness: One of the major aspects of International HRM is to understand the cultural differences in different countries such as the cultural difference and the cross-culture influences among the people living on those places. IHRM should take a lead in the development of organisations intercultural competence as well as in managing groups and teams, (Tung, 2008). The growing concern about the cross cultural activities includes the awareness of culture by learning making a suitable multicultural environment where people from different cultural background will work together as a cross-cultural perspective. Political dimension: Because of globalisation companies are moving towards the global business environment because of revenue generation and expansion of market share in the emerging market. The political dimensions towards the international markets are growing but there are some risks associated with the international business. The different political risks are affecting the firms such as political philosophies in different countries made by the local government, social unrest, terrorism or arm conflict, rising nationalism, competing between the religious groups or the newly created international alliances, (Collinson, et al., 2009, p. 392). In contrast, the careful planning and implementation of HR planning can help the HR managers to reduce the political risk in the internal market. Conclusion: International HRM is a challenging issue in modern business environment and the HR managers need to carefully implement those policies and procedures related to the IHRM. The role of HR managers is to adopt the new cultural diversity and employee diversity in the workplace. It can be done by the training and development activities and employee empowerment. Employee empowerment can help the organisation to increase the profit and to get the competitive advantages by the use of flexible working team and rewarding the employees who made a big contribution in getting the results. International recruitment policy making need to be effective by selecting the employees from different locations such as outsourcing or offshoring for example, Unilever and PG are one of the most successful organisation for making the outsourcing activities in the world market, (Edward Rees, 2009). Furthermore the international compensation plan needs to be in line with the countrys rules and regulations and government policies and procedures. The concept of competitive compensation can be a solution for the international HR managers to overcome the challenges in the global market. Finally, globalisation is affecting the HRM in different ways and the managers role is to fit them according to the requirements of the company. The overall objectives of an organisation are to maximize their profit and the HR managers need to be concerned about fulfilment of the companys goals and objectives. Some of the limitations need to be considered when making this essay such as the limited amount of sources of information in an international country and the limited accessibility of the sources of information. However, this essay can give an idea about the IHRM and their uses and disadvantages in the international context.

Hersey’s Purpose in Writing Hiroshima

John Hersey was born in China on June 17th, 1914. John Hersey wrote the book Hiroshima on August 31, 1946. The book is about six survivors from the bombing of Hiroshima. The survivors was: Mrs. Hatsuy Nakamura, Dr. Terufumi Sasaki, Father Wilhelm Kleinsorge, Toshiko Sasaki, Dr. Masakazu Fujii, and Reverend Kiyoshi Tanimoto. These survivors were very strong people. They had to live off any resources that were left. Hersey wrote the book to tell the effects of the nuclear weapon. So he chose those 6 people. He described the pain that was visible. He also told about how much destruction the bomb had caused. Hersey also told the readers about how many people had died and te conditions they were in. The bomb caused exscrutiating burns all over their body. Many of the people that didn't die from the bomb was sickened with nausea, headaches, diarrhea, malaise, fever and other symptoms. It killed ninety-five per cent of the people within a half-mile of the center, and many thousands who were farther away. Hersey explained in the book the moment that the bomb was dropped on Hiroshima.Hiroshima was also written to tell about the rumors that were going around about what had just happened in their town. The book also explained how the bomb surviors was able to put their lives back together with all their injuries and the scarceless resources. It also tells about how all the survivors had to work together to survive. Hersey also tells the readers about how the survivors are today. He found out that two were dead. Another was a nun. One of them had started touring the U.S.A for money so he could rebuild his church. Another had become a surgeon in his own clinic. No description about the last survivor. So as you can see the book Hiroshima was very helpful. It helped see the effects of the bomb. Also, it helped described the pain that it caused outside of the body and inside. It also gives assistance to the scientist to see how much destruction in the a town that the bomb had caused.

Well since I moved here, I had to become more independent than I was at home since I cannot rely on my parents for money and food all of the time. I experienced being independent my first day of college because, I kid you not, my car got towed right before my first class. Just imagine waking up and your car not being where you left it last. I felt a sense of panic as I saw the empty parking space where my car was last because I could imagine that the towing bill would be expensive. It was at this point where I missed having my parents there to help me financially when I needed them and to also have their help whenever I did not know what to do. Fortunately I knew what to do, from the help of my residential advisor, and had an adventurous time finding the Public Safety Building. At the end of the day, I got my car back and my bank account decreased hundred and twenty five dollars. When I was at home, I constantly had my siblings around so it has been strange not to have my brother and sister near me on campus.
